Compared to other conventional DMARDs (deemed “safe” in pregnancy), biological DMARDs, corticosteroids and NSAIDs, Leflunomide did not increase the risk for major congenital malformations, miscarriages or low birth weight.  Although the adjusted odds ratio for prematurity was 4-fold, it was not statistically significant.
