Even if it works, is prescribing a placebo even ethical? If it isn’t, what if you tell the patient that it’s a placebo? Won’t work then? Think again.

Why should it work when you know it’s fake? Is it reverse psychology? Are patients double-guessing it?

It’s postulated that it’s the human touch, from the doctor, specifically. We’re suckers for TLC.
